Treehouse rules

The wonderful treehouse at the Escola Livre looks the perfect place to add a pulley system to further explore the collaboration and communication opportunities that it created at the Forest School. However Pedro explains that they have a rule that children cannot take things up to the treehouse for fear of them throwing them down onto other kids playing below. The risk perception is clear - there could be a nasty injuryBut this risk driven approach is surely preventing a learning opportunity that children take responsibility not to hurt their peers. The risk perception certainly limits us as we don't even suggest our pulley idea for fear of stepping on toes.
